What has happened to this clinic in recent years has become unacceptable. I was told to make 2 separate appointments because I wanted 2 (very small) things looked at and taken care of. A total of maybe 10 minute appointment would have been necessary to address my 2 issues, but they would not lump them into one appointment. No thank you. I will find another clinic who isn't trying to make an extra buck out of total inconvenience to the patient. BTW there may be more complicated medical issues requiring 2 visits, but one of mine was a look and see the other was a simple skin tag the size of grain of rice probably a 5 second snip. Bad call. Lost a long term patient. I also notice in the reviews that the 5 stars tend to get a response from the clinic but not one of the 1 star has a response. I would think 1 star would be the most important to respond to.

The staff was so kind, and bright from the time I walked in! I did not wait very long in the waiting room, but received an apology from the front desk lady about the delay in my appointment ( it couldn’t have been 10 minutes past my appointment time!) right after that Jackie took me back and Dr. Rutherford was quick to follow. Again, both very kind, and took the time to ask questions, listen to my my answers to those questions and to my concerns! Dr. Rutherford came up with an updated treatment plan that I am very happy about, that addresses all my needs. Thank you to the ADC team! I have been seeing you for 10 years and you are consistently fantastic!

I was almost swindled by this clinic, and I found that they have extremely questionable billing practices and medical standards of care. Last year, I went to the WBL clinic to get a few moles checked – it was a standard visit and went fine. I saw they were advertising Evoke treatments (a series of sessions/procedures for neck tissue under the chin), and after a few weeks to think about it, I called to schedule a consultation to have the treatment explained to me more (a consultation for which I was charged, btw). I was told very clearly in that consultation that the treatments are spaced roughly 1 month apart. I was also told the cost: $2,750 due UP FRONT IN FULL before the first session (a predatory billing practice). They market it as “a package” to make it look nice, despite this being against best practices in the medical field. When I asked to pay for each treatment session as I go, I was told they don’t allow that (another red flag). They also tried to sell me a membership/subscription card, marketed as “a way to save money,” but it costs $100 up front and barely takes off 5% of my total cost after taxes. The only benefit to this membership/subscription is that I could save some money on other unrelated services that I don’t want. If you have a medical professional selling you these kinds of “packages/deals/subscriptions,” run away! I scheduled my first Evoke treatment session (which took a few calls to get a hold of an actual receptionist), and they could only find an opening a little over a month down the road. I made the appointment, but two weeks later I had an unavoidable conflict which forced me to reschedule my appointment. Again, they could only find time for me 4-5 weeks out. I scheduled again. I showed up for my first session (months after I scheduled my consultation), and the receptionist tried again to sell me the membership/subscription service. I declined, but she continued to push it on me. I asked one more time (it was worth trying) if I could pay for each treatment as I receive it, but was told they only offer it as a package with payment due in full before you even check-in to your appointment (again, very shady business practices, especially for a medical-related service). The receptionist was getting snippy and belittling me in front of other patients in the waiting room. Now here’s the worst part: the receptionist at check-in told me that treatments need to be done 4-7 DAYS APART in order to be effective. I was dumbfounded! I said that the staff told me at my consultation that treatments are done 1 MONTH APART. She said to me, “oh, well we just found out last week.” She followed up by saying “we just started doing this treatment.” (Remember, they’ve been advertising these procedures for AT LEAST 5 MONTHS at this point) How does a professional medical clinic not have a clear understanding of something so basic and important as how often treatments need to be done in order to be effective? Either the medical and office staff of ADC were genuinely unaware of this basic component of care (which is horribly negligent on their part), or were misleading me (and presumably, others seeking this treatment) about the treatment only to let me know the truth after I coughed up thousands of dollars (which is absolutely predatory). Both are terrible reflections of this clinic, and are unacceptable for any respectable clinic. I was about to pay thousands of dollars up front for treatments/services which I hadn’t yet received and wasn’t even scheduled for yet, only to have my treatment be ineffective because ADC was either negligent or predatory up to this point, and trying to schedule within the recommended treatment window would be impossible since they book weeks in advance. If you have received Evoke treatments from Advanced Dermatology Care, I suggest you get in contact with a legal service – because if your experience was like mine and you *did* receive treatment, you might have standing to take legal action against this clinic.
